Once in my life I had chance to participate in a training like that.It was a great
period on which my mind was focused; actions, situations, speeches, questions,
smiles,…were replaced one by one and made Headmasters and teachers to understand the impact of XO in their daily teaching and eduction in general.
they were happy of gaining knowledge about XO ,the way they were welcome, treated, taught and responded.Even if more points were positive
some few others were negative like having a big group to help to the side of trainers,
some parts of days like last one were like no program and the great negative action was of
giving money of training among teachers impartially to that extent did so.
That ,destroyed like 60% of the real image of OLPC would have stayed
in teachers mind.
To my observation it was really a good training with the intellectual organization and planning ; people who were in charge should really be recognized and from my heart”GO AHEAD”.
Thank you.

HOW CAN WE TEACH WRITE,RECORD, PAINT AND SCRACH ACTIVITIES DURING THE CAMP TO COME
In all things that we do using xo is to avoid the pure craming and one source learning but push forward the practical, creative, reasoning,…one. In this perspective the camp we are preparing should also be more practical than theoretical and teach each activity practically.
WRITE ACTIVTY
In this activity teachers should be told that it is not a kind of teaching ms-word as uswally done but tell them that it should be used in research outside the class, during groupwork ,posting on internet, writing newspapers, interpreting pictures which can be used as teaching aids in the absence of real materials…For that we should teach them by showing how to do so.
RECORD ACTIVITY
We should for example show them how this activity can be used in languages by taking pictures representing adjectives, verbs, names,…in elementary science and technology by taking photos of different biological, physical, chemical… elements.
SCRACH ACTIVITY
Represent and animate some enviromental interractions like carbon cycle(in ELT),developping language speaking by creating stories in scrach, represent some commnity problems and to find solutions for them (proposed),..
PAINT ACTIVITY
It can be used to present elements of SST,ELT,MATHS…
In short ,learning by doing should be our aim.
HOW CAN WE DO TEACHERS TRAINING

on:HOW CAN WE DO TEACHERS TRAINING
It is a crucial issue to develop education of our country using technology. Kids’ laptop is one of keys of developing this education but it demands the great effort to ensure that each teacher can use it in his/her class sessions, hence, teachers training.
In my views, teachers training should be done by:
v Approaching teachers and explaining to them deeply the use of xo in teaching.
v Telling them not to consider OLPC as the source of extra money in their activities.
v Preparing model lessons of curriculum and deliver them in classrooms while teachers are observing.
v Recognizing teachers portray the need of using xo in teaching.
v Having the support of government not only by buying xos but also come to the field to see whether they are used properly.
In short, I hope that following the above strategies will help teachers to understand “why use xo in teaching/learning process.”

on:KIDS’LAPTOP PERFORMANCE
Before the arrival of OLPC project in Rwanda I was not able to identify the importance of using the laptop in education especially in primary schools as a tool of improving and developing the teaching &learning process, but after joining these technological educators I started to see how these electronic and electric materials are improving the education of my country by motivating kids through various laptop facilities like games and spirit of collaboration particularly in groups that OLPC representatives(we) use ,making kids the owner of their dairy activity, studying more; easily and quickly basing on different activities of their laptops like wikipedia and internet ,use and develop the teaching language (English) ,having contact with people from other countries and gaining experience from them,…This can be understood by giving the example of what I saw last time at NONKO where we asked kids to do the representation of four cardinal points using scratch activity and do so quickly and well. This showed me where they arrive in thinking higher and deeply and their improvement in creativity.
Rwandan kids are really going to be good thinkers and creators based on technological education.
Thank you,

on:MY FIRST INTERNSHIP AS OLPC INTERN
It was in year 2009, where I had the opportunity of being an intern of OLPC at Rwamagana B primary school. After two weeks of training on using kid’s laptop and KIE organization of community attachment, I went to that primary school. We were supposed to be two but one girl didn’t manage to come that means I was alone. That period was very important in my life because it had not been understandable to me how I can conduct a session in a classroom about the use of kid’s laptop without the support of anyone else. I tough in three classes’ p5A, p4C&D and I don’t hesitate on the achievement of my aim of making kids to be familiar with the laptop even if it is not the last step to do so. As my first time on the field delivering knowledge on kid’s laptop, how kids were interested and how OLPC people like Julia took care of me by coming there it is really my great moment experienced with OLPC.
